Two national news outlets, USA Today and National Public Radio (NPR), brought attention to Raab’s discovery and sale of a previously unknown letter written by Susan B. Anthony to President Grant one week after her arrest for “illegal voting” in 1872.

The story was first reported by Anthony’s hometown (Rochester, NY) newspaper, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle.
The letter has been sold to a private American collector.
