About Collecting John Hancock Autographs

John Hancock's signature is perhaps the most recognizable in the country. He signed the Declaration of Independence larger than any of the other signers and directly in the middle. He was rich at the time of the Revolution and staked it all. His letters and documents are typically signed as Governor of Massachusetts and also as President of the Continental Congress, in which position he presided over much of the war effort.
