Raab in the Press: Jefferson Letter on the Right to “Bear Arms”

A Thomas Jefferson letter newly offered at Raab captured national media attention over the 4th of July weekend and sold promptly to a private collector. In the letter, written from Annapolis, Maryland, just months after the Revolutionary War had ended, Jefferson advocates for the right to bear arms as he watches democratic movements spread through Europe. Media reports found in Jefferson’s words the very spirit of Independence Day.
