Typed Letter Signed on her personal letterhead, April 12, 1963 to Paterson State College. “Thank you for your invitation to speak to the students at Paterson State College next year. I do appreciate your interest, but my extremely heavy schedule has made it impossible for me to undertake any additional speaking engagements for the coming year…” This letter shows that just a year after publication of Silent Spring, she had caught peoples’ ear and was in great demand as a speaker. She died just a year later. An 8 by 10 inch unsigned picture of her is included.
