Framing and Display
We can help advise you on the best way to display and preserve your historical treasure.
Custom, Archival Framing
Each frame is custom constructed, using only proper museum archival materials. You benefit from our decades of experience in designing and creating beautiful, compelling, and protective framed historical documents. Prices range starting at $600. Materials include:
- The finest frames, tailored to match the document you have chosen. These can be period style, antiqued, gilded, wood, etc.
- Fabric mats, including silk and satin, as well as museum mat board with hand painted bevels.
- Attachment of the document to the matting to ensure its protection. This “hinging” is done according to archival standards.
- Protective “glass,” or Tru Vue Optium Acrylic glazing, which is shatter resistant, 99% UV protective, and anti-reflective.
There is no more elegant way to store and present your historical treasure than in these custom cases, called clam shells. Create a beautiful, custom, archival folder, using leather, cloth, or a combination of both. Each clam shell comes with custom gilded titling, and can sit comfortably on bookshelves, desks, or be prominently displayed on other surfaces.
The Raab Folder
These now-iconic Raab Collection folders cannot be bought. Instead, they are a symbol of your purchase from The Raab Collection, coming with most documents we sell. They are archival, safe for storage, and a symbol of provenance and quality.
