Stettin, September 12, 1895, addressed to “The commanding officer of the Company of Palace Guards.” “I have ordered that 2nd Lieutenant Schmend of the Infantry Regiment Count Bullow von Dennewitz (i.e. Inf. Reg. No. 55, also known as ‘the Sixth Westphalian’) shall do duty with the Company of Palace Guards for one year, beginning on 1 October.”
