Spawned the Spirit of the 60's.

Scott McKenzie and John Phillips. From 1961-1963, there was a highly thought of folk group called The Journeymen. It consisted of John Phillips, who went on to found The Mamas and the Papas (and composed much of its music), Scott McKenzie, whose San Francisco (Wear Some Flowers in Your Hair) became an anthem for the 1967 Summer of Love, and Dick Weissman. An album leaf signed by all 3 of The Journeymen. The music of Phillips and McKenzie remains closely identified with the 60’s, and captured its essential spirit.
