Victoria Cross. Richard B. Stannard won the Victoria Cross for service in Norway, including shooting down a German bomber that tried to force his ship into captivity. A cover honoring Queen Elizabeth with information about Stannard typed on it, signed by him at the top. At bottom he has attached two bars of his actual uniform ribbons, including that of the Victoria Cross, with a miniature VC on it. Included is a 3 page ALS of Stannard sending the ribbons and explaining some of them, plus a small signed photograph.
