SOLD Woodrow Wilson Letter Just Nine Days into His Presidency

He cannot attend a function at the Nioba Social Club.

A Typed Letter Signed on White House letterhead, Washington, March 13, 1913, to William F. Hummel of the Nioba Social Club. “I thank you warmly for the cordial invitation which you extend to me on behalf of the Nioba Social Club, and regret my inability to accept. I send to the members of the Club, and their guests on this occasion, my best wishes for a most enjoyable evening.”

Wilson had been in office just one week, but was already finding the need to turn down invitations. Attractively framed with an engraving and medal of him.
