Millard Fillmore Autograph Letter Signed as President

Autograph Letter Signed, Washington, Oct. 16, 1850 to Hon. A. Hunt. “I have just received the enclosed letter from your friend McDonald. I have but a faint recollection of what took place on his appointment but do not recollect that I changed my vote. I thought however before writing him that I should submit his letter to you, and will thank you to give me your recollection. Please return his letter. I am truly yours, in great haste, Millard Fillmore.” Very good condition, probably to New York State Senator Alvah Hunt who was currently New York State Treasurer and had served in that post while Fillmore was the State Comptroller.
