Raab has acquired a rare and powerful fragment of Washington’s first inaugural address, the earliest such fragment in the famous manuscript to have reached the market. It still retains the letter of Jared Sparks sending it, establishing a clear line of provenance from the President, to his nephew Bushrod Washington, to biographer Jared Sparks, to a norther Reverend.
Farewell Message of George Washington to the People
