PHILADELPHIA, PA – March 6, 2019 – The Raab Collection announced today that it will be unveiling one of the most important Washington documents to reach the market: Washington’s signed appointment of the first Associate Justice nominated to the first US Supreme Court. It is also signed by Chief Justice John Jay on the very day that the Court met for the first time. It has been in a private collection for generations. The document, the only our research disclosed having ever reached the market, will be on display at Raab for a week.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Raab firm, which has handled many of the great historical documents to come up for sale and is helping build private and public collections worldwide.
