Raab Acquires Family Archive of an Early Director of the US Mint

The archive, which has remained with the family for generations, contains Patterson’s appointment by Andrew Jackson as Director of the US Mint and his received medal

PHILADELPHIA, PA – January 6, 2017 – The archive of the descendants of Robert Patterson and Robert M. Patterson has been newly acquired by Raab.  These include not only Patterson’s appointment and related correspondence but also:

  • An archive related to the early efforts to construct US canals;
  • A collection of books from the library of the Pattersons;
  • An early and important astronomical manuscript.
