Raab Acquires Documents Gifted by Prime Minister Winston Churchill to Close Friend and Colleague, Wartime Chief Parliamentary Whip, Viscount James Stuart

The group, which has remained with the Stuart family until now, contains a signed war date photo as well as an important political sketch of the Prime Minister, featured in the book, “Within the Fringe.”

PHILADELPHIA, PA – January 15, 2018 – Raab has acquired a collection of historical documents of Winston Churchill, held by his Wartime Chief Parliamentary Whip, Viscount James Stuart’s family, documents to be offered for sale to the public for the first time. Raab continues to solidify its reputation as the destination for historical descendants looking to sell their archives, collections retained for generations.

Included:

– A large, and increasingly uncommon, war date signed Churchill Stoneman portrait, presented directly to Viscount Stuart.

– A war-date sketch that Churchill gifted to his friend and colleague, Viscount Stuart. It was later featured in the book, “Within the Fringe,” meant to symbolize a political strategy pursued by his office.
