A Rare & Important Collection of Signed Images

The Raab Collection, the nation’s leader in important historical documents, announced today that it has acquired and will offer for sale a remarkable collection of rare and important signed photographs spanning generations.  They were assembled by one of the great collectors of such images over the course of more than 30 years, before their acquisition by Raab.

They include:

  • A signed photograph of Babe Ruth in his early Red Sox uniform, signed at the time and not a later souvenir, making it perhaps unique on the market;
  • A signed photograph of Martin Luther King, Jr., taken at the very moment he stepped forward to organize and lead the Civil Rights Movement, a larger one, one of only two we can find ever reaching the market;
  • The only signed photograph of Kennedy’s Inauguration known to have ever reached the market;
  • An uncommon Walt Disney Signed Color Reproduction Cel, Showing Donald Duck in a World War II Short;
  • A huge signed photograph of Ernest Hemingway at his famous lodge in Sun Valley, Idaho, inscribed to his friend and boxing coach, George Brown;
  • An early signed photograph of Winston Churchill in 1904, the year he crossed the floor in the House of Commons, defecting from the Conservatives to the Liberals;
  • Many others.
