Union general known as “Fighting Joe,” Commander of the Army of the Potomac at Chancellorsville and later of the XX Corps in the western theater.

Document Signed, 14 separate pages very large folio, May, 1864, listing 538 officers of the corps ranging from Lieutenants to Lt. Colonels, and from whom they received transfers of clothing and equipage. Many officers who received these items also transferred items to others on the list. Hooker has signed at the bottom of the last page “Approved, Joseph Hooker, Maj. Gen. Comdg.”

Fine, held together by a pink ribbon. Hooker is somewhat uncommon of war date.
