A 1 page folio quarterly return of clothing at Camp Harrison dated June 30, 1859, signed as approved at the bottom by future Confederate general James J. Archer (1817-1864) and future Union general Charles G. Harker (1837-1864), Harker as 2nd lieutenant and Archer as captain. As Archer fought mainly in the Eastern Theater and Harker in the West, they probably never opposed each other directly.

Archer was captured at Gettysburg and was imprisoned for over a year afterwards. He was released in August of 1864 in poor health which resulted in his death in October of that year.

Harker was killed in action at Kenesaw Mountain.
