A Typed Letter Signed as President-elect on his letterhead, Indianapolis, November 26, 1888 to John E. Kendrick, chairman of the Providence, R.I. Board of Education, thanking him for his efforts during the just-concluded campaign. “I have been slow in acknowledging your kind telegram on behalf of the Harrison and Morton Club; but you will know how fully my time has been occupied since the election and will excuse the delay. Allow me, even at this late day to thank you and your associates in the club for their cordial support and effective work during the campaign".
